Cornwall, ON – Cornwall SDG Business Enterprise Centre is welcoming nine new young entrepreneurs into the Summer Company program to help transform their business dreams into reality.
This summer’s entrepreneurs are:

- Burke Thompson – Papa’s Boy’s Lawncare
- Caedmon Van Putten – Vadropho Photography & Videography
- Katsitsionni Thompson – Violet Visions
- Liam Mulvihill – Mulvi
- Mary Iranyumva – Divine Shine
- Scarlett Bowling – Polished by Scarlett
- Yves Yepseu – Yves Photography
- Zaineb Haroon – ZaiMuse
Funded by the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade, and administered by Cornwall SDG Business Enterprise Centre, Summer Company encourages students to start and run their own business. In return, participants will receive $3,000 in start-up funding assistance along with hands-on coaching and mentoring from local business leaders. These young adults were selected to participate in the program after completing detailed business plans, including marketing and financial projections.
“We saw a record number of applicants for Summer Company this year, which speaks to the incredible entrepreneurial spirit among young people in our region,” said Mireille Lemire, Business Advisor at the Cornwall SDG Business Enterprise Centre. “We are excited to welcome the 2026 cohort and have already been impressed by their level of engagement, creativity, and commitment to building their businesses.”
Meet the Entrepreneurs
This year’s Summer Company participants aim to offer a wide range of products and services including baked goods, lawncare, photography, drone videography, crocheted items, limited clothing drops, lip gloss, nailcare, and curated craft workshops. You can meet these young entrepreneurs as they showcase their innovative products and services at the Benson Centre:

The Summer Company program allows high school and post-secondary students the opportunity to explore and improve entrepreneurial skills with the ultimate goal of building sustainable businesses. Several past Summer Company participants who have completed their schooling are now operating successful, full-time businesses in our community, including Swish School, Crystal’s Beautique Spa and Beauty Lounge and Ol’Sugar Barn Ice Cream Stand.
