Cornwall, ON – A new Turkish restaurant opened its doors this past Saturday in Cornwall, welcoming over 250 guests throughout the weekend. Hello Istanbul, located at 830 Second St. W, offers authentic Turkish dining experiences, including traditional breakfast, lunch, and dinner options.
Hello Istanbul Turkish Cuisine aims to be a business rooted in community. “The name was created with the intention of warmly welcoming guests into the rich culture and flavours of Istanbul, a city known for its hospitality and world-famous cuisine,” says Hamza Hamish, one of the restaurant’s owners. “‘Hello’ reflects their friendly, inviting atmosphere, while ‘Istanbul’ represents authenticity, tradition, and the inspiration behind their food and dining experience.”
Hello Istanbul says they don’t just want to serve food—they hope to create an atmosphere inspired by the vibrant culture of Istanbul, with an open-kitchen concept where guests can watch chefs cook fresh meals in front of them. Their experienced Turkish chefs, fresh ingredients, and focus on hospitality are the recipe for creating a memorable experience for guests.
Their menu features charcoal-grilled kebabs, fresh mezes, pide, seafood, desserts, and Turkish coffee. Everything is prepared fresh daily using high-quality ingredients. Hello Istanbul also provides a unique open-kitchen experience where guests can watch their chefs prepare meals.
Hello Istanbul is owned and operated by three business partners who have previous experience working together in the restaurant industry: two as chefs and one as a manager. Their shared vision is to work collaboratively to bring curated, elevated dining experiences to Cornwall. Hello Istanbul hopes to create a welcoming space where guests can enjoy fresh, high-quality food while experiencing Turkish culture and hospitality.
