Cornwall ON – The Cornwall Business Enterprise Centre is pleased to partner with the Township of South Glengarry for the first Breakfast Connections event of 2024. An open invitation is extended to business owners and community leaders from South Glengarry and neighbouring municipalities.

Last year, in 2023, organizers welcomed over 300 local business owners to the popular networking event in South Stormont, South Dundas, Cornwall, North Glengarry, and North Dundas.  On February 15th, 2024 Breakfast Connections will be held in South Glengarry from 7:30 am to 9:30 am at the Char-Lan Arena upstairs in the Tartan Hall in Williamstown.

“We are looking forward to networking in Glengarry!”, says Shauna Baggs, Cornwall Business Enterprise Centre.  “We are very pleased to welcome as our guest speaker for the event Chris Bourgon. Chris has operated his family operated business in Glen Walter for many years and has expanded his business to include an online barber shop”.

Gilles’ 3rd Gen Barbershop opened in 1962. Owner, Chris Bourgon, is a third-generation barber who owns and operates Gilles’ Barber Shop. He also founded 3rd Gen Barber Collection, which sells barber supplies and equipment all over the world.  Gilles’ Barber Shop was originally called Fern’s Barber Shop when it was opened in 1962 by Chris’ grandfather, Fernand Bourgon. When Chris’ father, Gilles, took it over in 1967, he renamed it Gilles’ Barber Shop and ran it until April 1, 1997, when Chris finally took over.

“South Glengarry is excited to host the first Breakfast Connections event of the year!”, says South Glengarry Mayor Lachlan McDonald. “Council understands the important role small business plays in South Glengarry and we welcome the opportunity to bring the business community together.”

This free event will take place at the at the Char-Lan Arena upstairs in the Tartan Hall in Williamstown (19740 John St) and will be an excellent opportunity to network with other entrepreneurs and learn from one of the region’s most successful long-time businesses.

A full complimentary breakfast will be served and is made possible through the generous support of The Township of South Glengarry, the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry, Choose Cornwall, and Seguin Financial.

There is no cost to attend the Business Breakfast, however, pre-registration is required. Space is limited to 100 attendees, so be sure to register early to avoid disappointment!
