Cornwall, Ontario – Specializing in authentic Indian and Pakistani cuisine, Desi Foods opened its doors in earlier this year in the Eleventh Street Maplewood Plaza.
Operated by Kamran Rashid and Asifa Qureshi, this family operated Restaurant takes pride in serving traditional dishes with the finest ingredients.
“Preparing all of these homemade dishes from scratch is rewarding but all good things take time,” says Rashid “A little bit of extra time produces the best quality,” he added.
The Desi Foods menu includes some breakfast options, rice dishes and curry infused customary plates that would be considered some of the staples of Indian cuisine.
“What makes us unique is the focus on Flavor and Freshness, “explains Rashid.
The Cornwall restaurant has received a positive response from the community in its first year of operation. A resident of Cornwall since 2019, Rashid appreciates what the city has to offer. “I am growing with Cornwall,” Rashid said.
The restaurant has a small amount of seating for in-house dining, orders for pickup, Skip the Dishes and DoorDash options are also available.
Desi foods and Restaurant is located at Eleventh Street east (Unit# 373). The Restaurant is open Saturday to Thursday 9:30 am – 5:00 pm.
