Cornwall Ontario – More and more Canadian companies are joining the international market every year. A new series of webinars will help companies that are new to exporting familiarize themselves with key steps in growing international sales in the U.S. and beyond.

“The opportunities presented by international markets can be made less challenging with the help of trade experts from Ontario, the Trade Commissioner Service and agencies such as Export Development Canada. These webinars will help guide you through everything you need to know to get started in global markets,” says Denis Lapierre, Senior Business Advisor with the Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade. “Eastern Ontario has dozens of globally competitive companies, and we invite all to participate.”

ExportON!: New Exporters to Border States (NEBS) U.S
February 8 (9:30 AM-12:30 PM, EST)
The Government of Ontario, in collaboration with the Trade Commissioner Service, is hosting a webinar program and will present on the following topics: U.S. immigration and business visa requirements, Federal and state tax liability issues, Currency exchange strategies, Corporate and legal considerations; and U.S. Customs clearance documentation requirements. ExportON!: Exporting to Europe
February 9 (10:30 AM-12:00 PM, EST) 
The Ontario Government is presenting this webinar to highlight trade opportunities with Europe in key emerging sectors and to help you develop an effective market entry strategy. In this webinar you will learn about: major highlights in the free trade agreement between Canada and the EU (CETA), opportunities within major markets, with a focus on France, the UK and Germany, sector opportunities for exporting, specifically in Clean Technologies, Information & Communications Technologies and the Automotive supply chain. New Exporters of Technologies and Services to the U.S.
February 15 (9:30 AM – 12:30 PM, EST) 
Ontario, in partnership with the Trade Commissioner Service, is hosting a new exporter preparation session built for Ontario technology and services companies.
The New Exporters of Technologies and Services to the United States (NETSUS) Program builds on an ever-popular New Exporters to Border States (NEBS) Program, which has been helping Ontario companies for 30+ years. Company participants in NETSUS will hear from experts and get to ask questions on topics related to selling non-physical products and services. The webinar will cover topics such as: Provincial and Federal Programs and Services, CUSMA and cross-border trade of technologies and services – industry implications, Taxation on technology and services sales – issues and implications, Immigration considerations (work permits, visas, etc.), Standards and certifications. Do’s and Don’ts when crossing the U.S. border
February 22 (10:00 AM-11:00 AM, EST) 
Ontario, in partnership with the United States Customs and Border Protection Agency, invites Ontario SMEs for a free one-hour webinar about the “Do’s and Don’ts” that must be observed if you are going to successfully move your goods across the border. Participants will have an opportunity to hear first-hand from a U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency officer, who will provide Ontario companies with important information on what is mandatory when shipping products to the United States.
