Ginette Girard opened FootHugs Reflexology & Esthetics in September 2019, specializing in cosmetic skin treatments such as facials, makeup applications, body treatments and epilation. FootHugs, as the name suggests, also offers reflexology, which is a holistic healing art and science working on reflexes that “talk” to the body through the nerve pathways in the feet and hands.
“As a Certified Reflexologist and Certified Esthetician my goal is to always put my clients first”, said Ms. Girard. “My space is a place of total comfort and relaxation. An atmosphere of trust, and a quiet space where they can reconnect.”
Foothugs provides a wide range of services including reflexology therapy, make-up application, manicures, pedicures, waxing and facials. Ms. Girard believes that if you look good, you feel good, and that applies to both women and men.
Colour Analysis is another of Foothugs offerings. This term is used within the cosmetics and fashion industry to describe a method of determining the colours of clothing and makeup that harmonize with a person’s skin complexion, eye and hair colour, with the benefit of being able to use this tool for wardrobe and style planning.
“Continued education is very important in this field”, explained Ms. Girard. “treatments are always being refined and updated, so I continue to take courses to educate myself on the newest procedures so that my clients are receiving the very best that can be offered. My goal is to help my clients be the best version of themselves possible.”
