Lancaster Ontario – A unique studio has opened in Lancaster that combines the relaxation of yoga and the beauty of local art.
Owner Nicole Hagen combined her two passions to form Artizen, a health and wellness studio like no other in the area. Visitors can take part in a variety of activities such as yoga, breathwork, meditation, art workshops, makers markets, art exhibits and artisans.
Currently, Artizen is the only yoga studio active in Lancaster. The 800 square foot space also provides the opportunity for local artisans to display their work or rent the space to provide workshops. The first Maker Market will take place on Saturday, July 30th from 12pm to 4pm.
Nicole is active in all areas of the studio as the owner, artist and yoga instructor.
“Having spent many years travelling the two constants in my life have been art and yoga,” shared Hagen. “After meeting my English husband, we moved to England and spent many years travelling the world”.
The pandemic brought her back home to be close to family.
“I chose to open this business now as the struggle of the pandemic was evident,” said Hagen. “I believe people now more than ever need unity and a space to get together and focus on mental health and wellness.”
Artizen is located at 188 Military Road, Lancaster and has a flexible schedule including weekends. You can learn more about the upcoming schedule of classes and events online:
