Cornwall, ON – Cornwall Square has welcomed back Subway to its new Food Hall in August 2025. The popular quick-service restaurant brand previously operated in the Food Court until 2021, when it closed due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and public health restrictions.

Cornwall Square management considers Subway an important part of its Quick Services Restaurant (QSR) offerings and worked with Subway Restaurants of Canada to bring the brand back as part of the new and expanded Food Hall. Discussions, design, and construction planning took several months to finalize in order to create the updated Subway restaurant, which is located next to Tim Hortons.

The new Subway franchisee is Mr. Mittal Patal, who also operates another successful Subway location in Alexandria. With years of experience in the food service industry, Mr. Patal and his team are well-prepared to reintroduce the iconic brand to Cornwall Square customers.

“We at Cornwall Square were super pleased to welcome back Subway to the mall and wish Mittal Patal and his team every success,” said Leo Doucet, property manager for Cornwall Square.

Subway at Cornwall Square is open Monday to Friday from 8:30AM to 7:00PM, Saturday from 8:30AM to 5:30PM, and Sunday from 9:00AM to 5:00PM. Customers can enjoy a wide range of freshly made sandwiches, wraps, and salads, with customizable toppings and bread options. The menu also features lighter choices and signature items, making it a versatile stop for both quick meals and family dining.
