Cornwall, ON – There’s a new destination in SDG for fresh flavours, artisanal products, and genuine community connection. Ferme Butte & Bine Café officially opened its doors in April 2025, welcoming guests to a thoughtfully designed space that fosters community, sustainability, and shared experiences. 

Located on a picturesque farm in Williamstown, ON, the café offers an enticing selection of goods including organic sourdough loaves, buttery croissants and European-style pastries, light lunches made from seasonal, local ingredients and handcrafted espresso beverages. Coming soon, you will also be able to experience a family-friendly outdoor area, local produce and artisan goods, corporate and private event rentals, workshops and sourdough classes (launching this fall). 

Owners Emeric and Sylviane bring a global perspective and deep passion to their work. The couple met in Vancouver in 2010 and have since lived and worked around the world, including London, UK, Ottawa, ON, and Vancouver, BC, before settling down in South Glengarry with their two children. Inspired by their travels and love for agritourism, they’ve built a space that blends European charm with Eastern Ontario’s agricultural richness. 

The pair dreamed of building a sustainable, farm-based business that would contribute meaningfully to their community. After a long search, they purchased their South Glengarry farm in 2020, during the pandemic, and found a supportive and welcoming community that quickly began to feel like home. 

Today, the café is run by a small but growing team, including full-time baristas, kitchen staff, and even Emeric’s mother, who lends a hand with gardening and chicken-tending. The couple is also currently hiring a full-time pastry chef to keep up with demand.
