Cornwall, ON – St. Andrews West has a new wellness studio with a unique approach to health and community. Turquoise Compass Wellness, founded by Jessica Palmquist, offers a refreshing take on wellness by embracing the great outdoors in all seasons.

Turquoise Compass Wellness stands out with its small outdoor group yoga classes, wellness events, and Mala jewelry making workshops. What sets this studio apart is its commitment to holding events year-round, regardless of the weather. Jessica was inspired by Sir Ranulph Fiennes’ quote, “there is no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing,” as she wants to encourage participants to embrace nature in all its forms.

In a post-COVID world, Jessica recognized the need for social activities and meaningful connections. Turquoise Compass Wellness addresses this need by offering a sanctuary where people can gather, connect, and belong. It’s a place where the essence of community is celebrated, and where every moment, no matter how small, is cherished.

Jessica’s vision goes beyond offering wellness activities; she aims to create a community. “We don’t just offer outdoor events, we create community,” she says. The studio provides a space for people to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life and connect deeply with themselves, others, and nature. It’s a place where authentic connections and new experiences are fostered.

Turquoise Compass Wellness has hosted numerous events that have resonated with the community. One of the highlights is the Outdoor Yoga & Tea Party + Campfire, where participants gather to practice yoga, enjoy hot tea, and share stories around a campfire. These events are more than just activities; they are opportunities for meaningful connections and personal growth.
