Cornwall, ON – Learn about grants & grant writing during Community Funding 101.
Local stakeholders will have a chance to learn about funding opportunities and gain valuable tips for writing grants during the Community Funding 101 workshop on Wednesday, February 21st at the Cornwall Civic Complex.
The evening session – which is free to attend – will give attendees a chance to hear about more than 15 different funding programs that are available in the areas of tourism, community programming, capital, business and more. Attendees will also learn some fundamentals of grant writing through a workshop provided by regional development advisors with the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport.
“There are a wide array of funding opportunities available to support community projects and events. We want to raise awareness of these opportunities while also helping our community members feel more confident and comfortable with the process of writing grants,” said Kevin Lajoie, Tourism Officer. “The session will provide useful information for groups who may be exploring funding opportunities for events, programs and projects both in the near-term and the long-term.”
The event is open to all businesses, organizations, event organizers and not-for-profit groups and there will be snacks and refreshments. Registration is required – click on the link below to reserve your spot!
