Bobby Robinson – Baler Bob Custom Work

Bobby Robinson grew up on a dairy farm with his family. He noticed that in the area they were lacking hay balers. With his passion to farm, Mr. Robinson thought this would be a great opportunity to open a business and help the demand in the area.

“I had the opportunity to rent the wrapper machine from my family farm business.” Explained Mr. Robinson “This has given me a great start to serving my own clients in the area.”

Mr. Robinson does custom tube wrapping. Tube wrapped hay bales are more cost effective and environmentally friendly as it does not use as much plastic. Wrapping the hay keeps it from spoiling and fermenting.

As farmers have a crop plan, Mr. Robinson will be flexible and plans to work any hour of the day to be accessible for the farmers.

As a participant in the Summer Company program, Mr. Robinson has been working with the Cornwall Business Enterprise Centre in developing his business plan and furthering his education on the different aspects of running a business.
